Package and its Contents
Prism II arrived in a small box which is a retail package. The memory was also just after production so there is no way that our review sample was in any way prepared for this review.
The exterior of the package says pretty much all we need to know about the contents. On the back of the box there are serial and product numbers so we are sure that we have received a dual-channel kit with two 8GB memory modules.
Inside the package are well-protected memory modules. Modules are equipped with quite thick heatsinks which are in silver color but are also well polished. In the center of the heatsink is the letter V which suggests V-Color. All looks maybe not really unique but for sure interesting.
Depends on the memory speed there is a different color set of the module tops. In the case of DDR4-3600, there is one module with a green and one with an orange top. As I already mentioned, it gives us different colors than we may expect so it’s hard to synchronize colors of various devices or even memory modules themselves.
Above you can see effects in popular colors. There are of course available various modes as the V-Color memory is fully compatible with such motherboard brands as ASUS or Gigabyte and their RGB software. Below screenshots are presenting ASUS AURA software and linked V-Color memory.
