Today we’ll be taking a look at the Cooler Master MM711 Blue Steel Gaming Mouse. This is the “Superman Version” That’s what I have been calling it anyways. The blue has a striking metallic look and change the light to red and ya, Superman might fly out of the thing. Ok I am reaching a little but in all honestly, the blue is quite amazing. We had the chance the MM711 line when they first came out. So far the 711 line has been a big success. They have quite a few color options to choose from and the performance is decent for a mouse in this price range. These mice are known for the extremely light weight. These weigh in at a whooping 60g. This one of the lightest gaming mouse you can buy. The cable is also an ultraweave cable and is feather light. Another great feature is the dust and splash protection which is a huge positive since you can basically see right into the guts of this thing. One more quick note before we dive into the details; the PTFE feet are top quality and and glide very well.
When showcasing an array of colorways at CES 2020, there was one clear winner that had everyone drooling and incessantly asking us “when?!”: Blue Steel. After some deep introspection, we can certainly see why: shiny yet humble, flashy yet subtle, the color palette is a harmonious interplay of contrasting simple textures and complex tones, an apt analog for humanity, prosperity, sincerity, and, ultimately, serenity. Or maybe it just looks really cool? I dunno, you decide.
