Cooler Master SK630 – Software
The Cooler Master Portal software must be downloaded from their website. This software acts as a hub for all of your compatible Cooler Master devices. The Portal software is easy enough to install. While the software is optional, due to the On-The-Fly System abilities, I recommend installing it as an enhancement to the experience.
You may download that software here: https://coolermaster.egnyte.com/dl/0nm3HKsBX2/
Once the Portal software is installed, your new device will be detected and you will have the option to install the setup software for the SK630 keyboard. After that, the software will detect and see if a firmware update for your device is available!
I have to say that this is one of the most user-friendly pieces of software I have had the privilege to use, in recent memory, to set up an RGB device. Just about every option that a user could crave is available. From per-key LED customization to MACRO programming to Key-Mapping and Profile Saving feature is there. I absolutely love the shear amount of pre-installed themes that are available!
Cooler Master SK630 – Lighting
The quality of the lighting present in the SK630 is nothing short of amazing. The hues are on-point and the glow is perfect and not over-powering.
Cooler Master SK630 – Performance
Throughout testing, I found that the SK630 has the precision that Gamer’s need as well as the comfort and long-term durability that is really important as well. Thanks to the low-profile Cherry MX switches, comfort has never been better and I experienced zero fatigue while using the SK630. With the 32-bit ARM processor, every click registered properly and was oh-so-satisfying; you know, that sweet response when using a mechanical keyboard. I am very happy with the construction of this keyboard as well.
There we have it! The SK630 TKL mechanical keyboard brought to us by Cooler Master! Let us cover a few final thoughts in the conclusion of our review.
