Today, we’ll be taking a quick look at the Corsair Harpoon RGB Wireless Gaming Mouse. In our recent podcast, I complained about the high prices of PC accessories such as gaming keyboards and mice, which I think is totally unnecessary. And since my wireless keyboard and mouse died last month, I needed to replace them with something more affordable, so I searched online and found this amazing wireless RGB gaming mouse on Amazon.
Say hello to the Corsair Harpoon RGB Wireless Gaming Mouse. This mouse is extremely light-weight, weighing in at only 99g and offers wireless connectivity via a 2.4GHz USB dongle or Bluetooth. It also comes with a 10,000 dpi optical sensor, 6 programmable buttons and dynamic RGB lighting which you can adjust using Corsair’s iCue software.

The Box and Packaging
The box contains the mouse, a braided micro-USB cable and the usual warranty information.
The Corsair Harpoon RGB Wireless Mouse
The mouse is light-weight and weighs in at only 99g. It’s comfortable to hold in the hand, and the buttons are easily accessible. I love the contoured rubber grips on either side of the mouse. It makes using the mouse all the better.
There are 6 programmable buttons on the mouse, one of which allows you to control the speed of the mouse pointer, which I think is fantastic (the button above the scroll wheel). The dynamic RGB lighting is shown via the Corsair logo which is located at the the back-end of the mouse. You can use the iCue software from Corsair to customized these settings.
A Closer Look
Underneath the mouse, there’s a small compartment which holds the 2.4GHz wireless USB dongle. You’ll also find the switch to toggle between Bluetooth, 2.4GHz wireless and power off.
As you can see on the last photo, the micro-USB port is very narrow. This cable is semi-proprietary, meaning it’s designed for the mouse only. We’ve tried using other micro-USB cable, but the connector does not seem to fit properly.
Verdict and Conclusion
For only USD $49 from Amazon (https://amzn.to/3EzlblJ), this mouse is exceptionally good. It’s light-weight, rechargeable, comfortable to use, and most importantly, extremely responsive. I was quite impressed with the smoothness of mouse movement, thanks to the uniquely positioned 4 mouse glides/skates and Corsair’s hyper-fast, sub-1ms Slipstream wireless technology.
The mouse comes with a 10,000 dpi optical sensor, 6 programmable buttons and dynamic RGB lighting which you can adjust using Corsair’s iCue software. According to Corsair, you can get up to 60 hours of battery life from a single charge, but I would say it’s more likely around 30-45 hours, which I still think is more than enough.
I’ve used many wireless mouse in the past, and I’ve always hated trying to find a way to store that wireless USB dongle. I’ve lost count on how many times I’ve misplaced those dongles! Luckily, the Corsair Harpoon has a small compartment which allows you to store that USB dongle safely. But if you’re not a fan of those USB dongles, no problem … you can just switch to Bluetooth mode. Sorted. Oh one more thing, you can connect the mouse to the included USB cable, and use it as a normal wired mouse too!

The Corsair Harpoon Wireless RGB gaming mouse is one of those gems that a lot of people have either overlooked, or don’t know about. It’s extremely affordable and offers decent features commonly found on high-end expensive gaming mice.
