The 700M Gaming Mouse from COUGAR has a pretty sweet look and feel to it; somewhere along the lines of rugged and futuristic. The SPEED Gaming Mouse Pad has a very basic and simple look, however the pad compliments the 700M both aesthetically and functionally.
The 700M Gaming Mouse is certainly aggressive aesthetically, while functioning exactly as designed. The lighting accents are subtle and help to add to the visual appeal. Thankfully the lighting is not overly bright or annoying and makes the perfect complimentary accent to an awesome mouse. Pity that the DPI indicator LEDs cannot be customized as well.
Performance
While using the 700M Gaming Mouse, I was impressed by the comfort and quality construction. The shape is curvy and edgy all at the same time; and the design and layout is very well thought out. The mouse button clicks are subtle yet precise. The mouse buttons are also quiet compared to other products on the market. The scroll wheel is also a standout for this mouse and I do believe it ranks up there with the high-end mice I have used in the past.
The 8200 DPI capability of the mouse is absolutely insane, though it is adjustable for slower people like myself. The adjustable weight setup is wonderful and I believe any gaming mouse claiming to be such should include this capability. The swappable and adjustable palm rest are what really make this mouse stand out. I have never experienced the extra control offered by such customization. COUGAR did an incredible job here of finding that perfect balance, which some other mice out there in the market lack for sure. Job well done, COUGAR!
