Conclusion and Verdict
Very much like the X17 the X20 has and identical feel and look. I utilized every mode of connection and really did prefer the 2.4GHz connection. Even thought the Bluetooth connection worked flawlessly and I could hardly tell if there was nay latency issues. I liked having the 2.4GHz connection going. It does tie up a USB port so that is the only downside using this connection mode. But you get a superior 1ms speed using the 2.4GHz over the typical Bluetooth connection. And the Bluetooth connect can vary a lot depending on the Bluetooth controller you may have on your particular system. So I say avoid any lag and go with the dongle.
So for a world first triple sensor on a wireless mouse I would expect this mouse to be in the same class as the X17. Between the lift off detection, 3335 sensor, and the 1000Hz report rate, this mouse is not quite as impressive as the X17, as far as specs go, but to the untrained competitive gamer I doubt you will even notice the difference. This is one of the most responsive wireless mice I have used. The lift off is accurate even when you are lifting your mouse to get more real estate out of your mouse pad. This can give you a huge advantage if you a lower your LOD and the mouse stops reporting as soon as possible when it’s picked up. And with the software you can calibrate this feature!
You need RGB on a mouse right. Yep, I agree. EVGA didn’t forget about that either. We have 3 separate zones on the X20. One on the very front that emits a nice glow out of the front of the mouse. The next zone is on the scroll wheel and the third is on the very back of the mouse where the logo is.
