Genesis Mouse Software
Genesis provides dedicated software for the Krypton 770 mouse. The software can be installed from a single file that is available on the product’s website. After two clicks, the software is installed.
The new software has some improvements, and it’s similar to all new mice. The difference makes the mouse specifications, number of programmable buttons, RGB illumination, and some more.
On the first tab, called keys, we can see a list of available functions that we can sign to every button. The picture of our mouse makes it easier to understand.
On the next tabs, we can adjust DPI and change colors for the wheel and its button. The light tab gives us a long list of various RGB illumination modes. The last tab, called macro, lets us set various macros and save presets.
The software is easy to use and functional. I can even say it’s easier to use than the software in previously reviewed Genesis mice. It’s always nice to see improvements in already good products.
There were no problems with the software or the mouse itself during tests. The mouse was working smoothly in all games and during work with office applications and web browsing.
It, of course, depends on specific users’ preferences, but the Krypton 770 was quite comfortable to use, even though I have quite big hands. As usual with most mice, I was missing additional buttons as I play mainly online MMORPG games, so for tests, I have to switch to other titles. It’s always good to take a break and play something else.
