Verdict and Conclusion
Thor 300 TKL RGB is a good option for gamers who care about functionality and don’t want large keyboards to take desk space.
The Thor 300 keyboard is fully programmable, the same as every other Genesis keyboard reviewed so far. All Genesis products with RGB illumination share a wide range of presets and fully customizable keys under which we can put a macro or an RGB effect. Thor 300 TKL RGB is not any different and gives us a lot of possibilities.
Besides a typical, for mechanical keyboards, noise while typing, I can say there were no issues during tests. Thor 300 TKL RGB feels even like a better product than previously reviewed Genesis keyboards. It’s not perfect, but for the given price it’s a very successful product.
Since I mentioned the price, then Genesis Thor 300 TKL RGB costs around 60 in the Amazon store. It’s a reasonable price for everything this keyboard has to offer. It’s also one of the least expensive gaming TKL keyboards with RGB illumination.
Pros:
- Mechanical switches
- Aluminum exterior
- Multiple RGB effects
- Fully programmable
- Various modes and custom profiles
- Reasonable price
Cons:
- Loud while typing
- RGB effects dimmed by keys design
Final words:
The Genesis Thor 300 TKL RGB is a well-designed keyboard that should satisfy most gamers. It doesn’t take much space on the desk, yet it’s full of gaming features, plus it lets us program all keys you want, either with macros or RGB effects.
