Conclusion
The Thor 660 RGB is probably the best Genesis keyboard I’ve tested so far. And honestly, there aren’t many things I would change on it. The list of advantages is long, and I’m sure that every gamer who wants a small keyboard like the Thor 660, will be satisfied.
60% size keyboards are for sure not for everyone. Some users may miss easy access to arrow keys on the right side or other things which we have to use as key combos or are in different places on regular keyboards. It’s also hard to comfortable type a lot of text. However, this keyboard wasn’t designed for long typing and those users who decide on a 60% size keyboard know that well.
One of the biggest advantages of the Thor 660 is its battery. Seems simple idea but most of the competition is missing it while it’s one of the main reasons why small keyboards are so great.
The Thor 660 RGB keyboard is fully programmable, the same as every other Genesis keyboard reviewed so far. All Genesis products with RGB illumination share a wide range of presets and fully customizable keys under which we can put a macro or an RGB effect. Thor 660 RGB is not any different and gives us a lot of possibilities.
Thor 660 RGB should be one of the cheapest 60% keyboards, even though it’s equipped with a battery which raises the price. However, we can’t find it available in popular stores yet as it’s a relatively fresh product.
Pros:
- USB or battery/Bluetooth mode
- Fully programmable
- Bright backlight with multiple modes
- Small but functional
Cons:
- Nothing worth mentioning
Final words:
The Genesis Thor 660 RGB is a tiny but powerful keyboard that’s full of gaming features. Most gamers will be satisfied with the versatility and customizable options that the Thor 660 RGB offers. The keyboard lets us program all keys, set macros, and adjust the backlight in wired or wireless mode.
