Genesis Mouse Software
Genesis provides different software for each device, so the Xenon 770 software is different from what we have seen in the Thor 420 keyboard review. The software can be installed from a single file that is provided on the product website. After two clicks, the software is installed.
The first screen already suggests that the used mouse is Xenon 770 and gives us a preview in two options that vary depends on the used side panels with buttons.
We can adjust almost everything so starting from RGB lighting up to DPI modes or macros in the software. Since there are 14 programmable buttons, we can have a lot of work to adjust everything we want. However, the software is simple to use, and if anyone were programming buttons on any competitive product, they would handle it without issues.
The same as in the Thor 420 keyboard, also here we have multiple RGB lighting modes. We can sign a different color under 6 DPI settings and set dynamic RGB modes for the bottom bar and the Genesis logo.
The software lets us save profiles and use various macros. This is exactly what gamers expect of an MMO mouse.
Genesis software could look a bit better as it’s quite standard, but the most important is that it’s functional and easy to use.
