Genesis Mouse Software
Genesis provides dedicated software for the Xenon 800 mouse. The software can be installed from a single file that is provided on the product website. After two clicks, the software is installed.
The first screen already suggests that the used mouse is Xenon 800, and we can browse various options. The first tabs let us program all keys and adjust DPI.
On the next tab, we can set RGB modes, adjust brightness and mode speed. There is a long list of presets from a popular rainbow and breathe until something more exotic like a colorful tail.
The following tabs give us a wide range of additional options and macros. We can program various macros the same way as in any expensive competitive mouse. Simply create a new macro and start recording key combinations and delays between them.
The software lets us save profiles and offers a variety of modes. The same options are available in many other Genesis mice. Of course, the hardware may limit available options, like the number of programmable buttons.
I already mentioned that in previous reviews, but Genesis could work on the aesthetics side of the software. It’s functional, and this is the most important.
