Packaging
The packaging that Genius ships the Gila mouse in is eye-catching for sure with bright blue and red themes across a dark backdrop accented with chrome lettering. The consumer is treated to a full preview of the Gila mouse that resides within and the design of the package definitely caters to the gaming crowd. The scorpion logo is sure to garner attention as well. Genius is marketing this as an RTS/MMO mouse, according to the packaging.
The back side of the packaging is more detailed, featuring another picture and information regarding the Gila’s various features and focal points. Information concerning some additional features of the mouse are also printed in twenty-seven different languages. Also located on the back of the package are a QR Code and company contact information.
The left side of the package contains a few pictures promoting the Gila user interface software as well as the perks included with it, which we will cover in more detail a bit later in this review.
What Genius decided to do with the packaging at this point is what sets them apart from other manufacturers. The front of the package is actually a flap cover with small magnets, a very nice touch indeed. Simply open the flap cover to the left and we are treated to more features and pictures of the mouse as well as a point blank view of the Gila behind the protective plastic.
Contents
The contents inside of the package are all neatly organized behind the mouse and protected well. You will receive a detailed multilingual installation manual, a graphical user interface pre-installation guide, driver and software CD, weight set with case, and an extra set of mouse skates. Very nice of you, Genius!
Now that we have examined the packaging and contents, let us take a closer look at the mouse!
