Software
Installing the Gila software from the included CD is pretty straightforward. Once the software is installed, a reboot will be required and then you can launch the software. The software will then run in the background automatically and display an icon in the system tray. Upon launching the software, we are greeted to the first tab of the software interface which allows the user to assign every button available on the Gila mouse.
The second tab in the software interface allows the programming of macros. Users have complete control here whether be it the customization of of multiple commands, delays, and the macro names of course.
The third tab of the software interface allows the user to accomplish some serious tweaking to the mouse speed, sensitivity, double click speed, polling rate, scroll speed, and DPI settings. Now that is ultimate control.
The fourth and final tab of the software interface is used to customize all three areas of lighting that the Gila mouse offers. Users have the ability to adjust not only the color, but the intensity and pulsation as well. Check this out, each of the three lighting areas are treated independent of each other! The possibilities here are in the millions for sure and that is nothing short of awesome! Want more great news? Not only do we have access to all of this customization at our fingertips, we can program up to six different profiles! What!? To make things even better yet, the software programs the settings within the onboard memory residing in the mouse; so if you decide to just take your mouse with you and use a different gaming rig that will not be a problem since your settings will travel with the mouse!
