Closer Look and Performance
The first thing which is hard to miss looking at the HyperX Pulsefire Haste is its hex shell design. In short, everything unnecessary, like additional plastic, has been removed, and the mouse has a lot of hex-shaped holes. It looks interesting and for sure lowers its weight.
On the bottom, there are white skates that work well on any surface. The mouse is light and is sliding quickly as in the description. It gives the fastest reaction in any situation. In the package, we have an additional set of skates in case we had to replace them. This is a nice addition as it doesn’t cost much but is a problem once we have to find a new set.
The USB cable is really soft and flexible. I was surprised as I wasn’t reading specifications and features before unpacking the mouse. As long as there is nothing on the way to interfere,, it feels like the mouse was wireless. The cable is braided what looks better and protects the cable.
HyperX used TTC Golden micro switches for the main buttons, which give fast response time and high durability counted for 60 million clicks. When the Pulsefire FPS mouse had switches rated at 20 million clicks, and it was already great. Of course, we can’t test this as it would take way too much time, but we hope that we can pass the number of the rated clicks. Switches are also dust-proof. I’ve never had ,a dust issue but additional protection is, of course, good. Switches are not loud but aren’t silent. Let’s say just right.
Like most mice, the Pulsefire Haste was designed for right-handers. However, its symmetric design makes it a quite good option for left-handers too. Additional buttons may cause an issue if used in the left hand.
The Pulsefire Haste has six buttons. All of them can be programmed via NGenuity software. I highly recommend to use this software as it also helps to adjust DPI and other options. Every gamer knows how important is DPI for various situations. We can program more than one speed that can be later switched by a single button. This option is already popular in gaming mice.
The Pulsefire Haste has everything you may need for FPS or TPP action games. I’m mostly playing MMORPG so I’m missing additional buttons but this topic will cover the Pulsefire Raid mouse. The Haste is for sure great for all who focus on quick action as it’s fast and light to the point you can forget you are using it.
Above you can see how the mouse looks like in different colors while below is the mentioned NGenuity software. We can change DPI, program all buttons and change RGB illumination. Everything you may need in one simple to use software.
Additional advantage is that the software recognizes various HyperX devices and updates their firmware automatically. It helps to keep optimal compatibility.
HyperX decided to use Pixart 3335 Sensor which works well on any surface. Of course glass is not optimal but every popular mouse pad or desk surface is more than enough to work without issues. It also works up to 16000 DPI. This is already amazing.
I had no problems to use the Haste mouse on couple of surfaces including two different mouse pads and two desks. It’s a comfortable mouse which isn’t making you to use more force because of the weight and flexible cable. It’s simply perfect for all who want to focus on their favorite games instead of the hardware part.
As I mentioned, if there were more programmable keys then it would be even better for me but every user has its own preferences and I guess that the Pulsefire Raid will meet my needs better. I can still recommend the Haste mouse as it has amazing features.
