Software & Drivers
As the Exon F60 Origen doesn’t come with any software bundled inside the box, you will need to download their software direct from their website. The compressed download file contains both the drivers for the mouse and the software which allows you to customize it.
There’s some nifty features here. In the top left you can control the DPI settings of the Exon F60 Origen, from 1600DPI at its normal setting, all the way up to 7000DPI. Below that is the sensor height control, this sets the height at which you can lift the mouse before the mouse sensor on the bottom stops tracking. Set this to 1, and a small lift of the mouse will mean the onscreen cursor will not move, ideal for those games in which you will have to ‘paddle’ about a lot for maneuvering.
On the top right is where you can set the USB polling rate, at default it is set to the maximum. Below this is ‘Line Shaping’ which controls how precise you want the F60 to be when you move the mouse in a straight line; small adjustments are made even if the mouse veers off slightly so you still get a straight line drawn on the screen.
Clicking on either of the 2 LED square boxes brings up a pop up screen where you control the RGB side of the Exon F60 Origen. This is full RGB here with 16.8 million colors to choose from to have the F60 match your PC build exactly. A little bit more customization here than other RGB mouse is that you can have the scroll wheel set to one color and the 2 other logos set to another by unticking the ‘symchronize lights’ box. You can also choose to LED effects here, with a choice from constant, breathing, heartbeat and scrolling.
