Daily Typing/ Long typing
Since this keyboard uses mechanical switches, keystrokes are more accurate and they allow you to type faster than you otherwise would with dome cap keyboards. Needless to say, once you get used to the mechanical keys they absolutely blow dome caps out of the water. For typing, this keyboard is great. The MX blacks are a pretty nice combination of soft, yet still firm where you wont get too many mistakes from pressing two keys at once. Personally, I would have preferred the use of switches like the MX Blues that are a little more firm but these aren’t bad at all.
If you are typing something out that is quite long, mechanical switches are absolutely great. Once you get the hang of them you can type quite a bit faster than you would normally type. One downside I must note is that the keys are quite loud, the odd thing is that when typing in one room others in my household could hear them louder than I can from the room that I am in. That could be due to them giving off a bit of an echo, but for one thing. If you are going to type alot with others near by this keyboard might not be for you.
Gaming
In order to test the keyboard, I spent numerous hours playing various games in order to see how the mechanical switches compared to a standard keyboard. I must say, the mechanical keys did not provide any real boost to my gaming experience. Gaming-wise they just don’t give you that much of a difference over a traditional keyboard. That isn’t saying they are bad, I would just say that if you are buying this keyboard strictly for gaming you wont see any difference. If anything you might get a week or so of time where you want to smack the keyboard due to the smaller sized shift key.
