Conclusion and Verdict
In conclusion, the Thermaltake W1 Wireless has one of the more unique features I have seen in a while. This keyboard has the function where you can connect up to 3 devices to the keyboard at the same time. All you have to do is switch between the profiles using the Fn function. Just remember what device you connected to which profile and you won’t get confused trying to figure out which device you are actually connected too. I tried this between my phone and desktop. And if your Bluetooth is on on your device once you switch profiles you almost have immediate connection. Its way faster that turning on a headset and waiting for it to connect. The speed switching between devices worked seamlessly and quite enjoyable rather than going into Bluetooth settings to connect the keyboard. While this may be the biggest selling feature of this keyboard it doesn’t stop there.
The W1 Wireless comes equipped with Cherry MX Red switches which is a go-to switch for a lot of gamers. You also have 3 modes you can connect this keyboard. Wired, for the most responsive, 2.4GHz, for lighting fast wireless, and Bluetooth for reliable connection between multiple devices. This keyboard offers a multitude of compatibility for whatever your need may be. Whether you type a lot or game these keycaps wont flinch. These are some of the most robust keycaps I have ever seen. They are extremely rigid and twice as thick as the keyboard I am currently using. I was a little concerned it was going to feel like pushing bricks but I didn’t even notice the extra material while using the keyboard. The battery life was decent. I would upgrade to some rechargeable lithium batteries to even extend the 2.5 month battery life advertised. I have been testing this for quite a while and have yet ran it out of the included batteries. I haven’t had it for 2.5 months but for about three weeks now it has been my daily driver and hasn’t missed a beat even through writing up this review. Great all around keyboard for accomplishing work and gaming all with the same keyboard.
