Performance – part 2
Storage performance
Storage performance has been tested using popular SATA and M.2 drives. Above is a screenshot which is showing expected performance using HyperX Fury SSD in CrystalDiskMark. Performance is as high as expected and we can compare it to that of Z370/Z390 motherboards.
Below is a result made in a PCMark 8 storage test. This is one of the best tests which is showing mixed load so pretty much what we can expect in daily work.
This test has been performed on the Patriot Viper VPN100 512GB SSD which is one of the fastest M.2 PCIe SSD on the market.
As we see, M.2 sockets on the B365M PG4 can handle this drive without issues and the result is simply amazing. Actually, one of the best we’ve seen on a single SSD.
Network performance
Since ASRock B365M Phantom Gaming 4 has no WiFi controller then network test has been performed on Intel LAN NIC. Considering not the fastest NAS which was used for this test, the result is pretty good. We were able to reach 116.1MB/s what is not much below the maximum theoretical bandwidth of 1Gb LAN.
