Verdict and Conclusion
I have to say, the high build quality, great aesthetics and steadfast stability is pretty evident on the ASRock B450M Steel Legend motherboard. This is all thanks to the 2oz Copper, premium 60A power choke, XXL Aluminium alloy heatsinks, Nichicon 12K black caps, and high density glass fabric PCB … all of which are hallmarks of ASRock’s Steel Legend series.
The ASRock B450M Steel Legend pairs nicely with our AMD Ryzen 5 2600X, so the performance was pretty good. It produced some pretty decent results in all of our benchmark tests, with a score of 5768 in PCMark and 6201 in 3DMark TimeSpy.
And when it comes to features, the ASRock B450M Steel Legend has plenty, so much so I can’t even list them all. But to name a few, it comes with dual M.2 slots for SSDs, 6 x USB 3.1 Gen, 2 x USB 3.1 Gen2 (Type-A + Type-C), PCIE steel slot, Gigabit LAN, Displayport, HDMI and 7.1 CH HD Audio. It also supports memory speeds of up to DDR4-3533+ (OC), AMD Quad CrossFireX, and of course Polychrome RGB.
What makes this motherboard really attractive is the great aesthetics and design. It does have a gaming feel to it, and yes the I/O hood and heatsink on the chipset does have RGB LEDs.
