Installation
We used an Inwin Midi Tower chassis and installed the motherboard with no issues. The motherboard looks so tiny in this chassis especially when you have a Zotac GeForce RTX 2080 AMP Extreme installed next to it! A Cooler Master MasterLiquid 240 AIO provided the cooling and that fitted nicely.
As we all know, all ASRock motherboards come with their Polychrome Sync and what better to than to use a Phantom Gaming themed Cooler Master MasterLiquid 240 AIO. Check out the review here.
BIOS
The BIOS main page on the B550 Phantom Gaming-ITX/ax allows you to adjust and tweak your CPU and memory settings, including voltages, multipliers, and memory timings.
During our tests, we used a pair of Thermaltake Toughram RGB DDR4-3200 which supports XMP 2.0 profiles. I would recommend you check the Memory QVL list from ASRock for memory compatibility.
You can also enable/disable various onboard devices and well as monitoring the motherboard/system health. And finally, to help with memory compatibility, performance enhancements and well as stability … you might want to check out the latest BIOS for the B550 Phantom Gaming-ITX/ax. You can download them here.
