ASRock E3V5 WS looks like a well designed motherboard for users who count on high performance and stability but don’t want to pay premium for all additional features which they won’t ever use. The E3V5 WS is in fact workstation motherboard built on premium components but is quite small and we can install it in any ATX size PC case. It also supports all available processors designed for LGA 1151 socket. However we have to remember that with i5 and i7 processors memory ECC functionality won’t work.
Since Intel disabled Xeon support in desktop chipsets then motherboards like E3V5 WS are even more interesting option which let to use additional features of server and workstation processors. Also quad core Xeons are less expensive than Core i5/i7 series what helps to reduce costs. Since I mentioned price then ASRock E3V5 WS is quite inexpensive what is one of its stronger points. Not many workstation motherboards are available so cheap. The E3V5 WS can be found for as low as $105!
Except that ASRock is offering good support which is really helpful and usually reacts faster than the competition. That’s my personal experience and maybe not all readers will agree with me.
