Inside the box, there’s not much to talk about, apart from the usual instruction/user’s manual, drivers disc, ome M.2 screws and 2 SATA cables.
A Closer Look
The motherboard comes in a full size ATX form factor and has a nice matte finish to it. All the components are nicely laid out with plenty of space around the AM4 processor socket. Theres’ no shroud for your I/O panel, I guess you’ll only find those on the higher-end enthusiast motherboards
The first thing you’ll notice about this motherboard is the PCI-E steel slot. There’s only one available, and that’s for the x16 PCI-E slot for your graphics card.
On closer look at the motherboard, you’ll find all the various connectors and headers for RGB, USB and Fans. There’s 2 x M.2 slots for your SSDs and a total of 6 SATA ports.
As for connectivity, there’s a PS/2 mouse and keyboard connector, a Fatal1ty mouse port, VGA out, DisplayPort and HDMI out, as well as USB 3.1 Gen 2 (Type-A and Type-C), 4 x USB 3.0, Gigabit LAN and 7.1 HD audio supporting Creative Sound Blaster Cinema 5.
Installation
As you can see below, there was no problems with installation at all. We were able to found the massive Noctua NH-D15 Premium CPU Cooler, as well as a GeForce GTX 1080 with a huge Arctic Cooling Accelero Xtreme IV GPU cooler.
BIOS
The BIOS on the ASRock Fatal1ty B450 Gaming K4 Motherboard was simple to use and set up. There are loads of options for fine tuning your system.
