Turbo Boost
The lack of overclocking options in the BIOS was a little disappointing, but mind you according to Intel the H370 chipset does not support overclocking at all. Having said that … who knows ASRock might releases a BIOS that could possibly support extensive overclocking.
In the end, we enabled “Turbo Performance” which is basically running the Turbo Boost of the our Core i7-8700K at its maximum capacity of 4.7GHz. However, we could only muster 4.3GHz which I find slightly odd.
Verdict and Conclusion
Overall, the ASRock H370 Performance motherboard is a very good all-rounder that offers decent performance at an acceptable price point.
During our tests, the ASRock H370 Performance motherboard produced some pretty decent scores in all of our benchmarks, which includes PCMark 10, TimeSpy and Firestrike. As you can see from the scores, it falls slightly below the higher-end Z370 motherboards, but definitely outperforms the B360.
One of the things that makes the ASRock H370 Performance stand out above the rest, is the amount of features you’ll get with it. Take for example … the Digi-Power with a 10 Power Phase Design, support for DDR4-2666+, Intel Optane memory and AMD Quad CrossFireX. It also comes with Intel Gigabit LAN, dual M.2 slots, PCIE Steel slot, USB 3.1 Gen 2 (both Type-A and Type-C), ASRock Polychrome RGB, as well as the Creative Sound Blaster™ Cinema 5 audio and much much more.
Unfortunately, as per Intel’s specifications, the H370 chipset does not support overclocking. This is pretty evident cos I couldn’t find any options for overclocking in the BIOS. However it does support the Turbo Boost feature allowing me to run our Core i7-8700K up to 4.7GHz from the default of 3.7.
You can buy the ASRock Fatal1ty H370 Performance Motherboard from Amazon for around USD $115 – https://amzn.to/2NwIdxs. At this price, you can’t really go wrong. Forget the more more expensive Z370 motherbaords. If you’re going to build an affordable gaming rig, this is one the motherboard you want.

Final words
In short, if you’re not in to overclocking, the ASRock H370 Performance motherboard is a great all-rounder, that offers very good performance, excellent features at a price that’s definitely worth considering.
