Performance: Part 2 and ASRock Software
As we could see on the previous page, results in some benchmarks are higher on the X470 chipset. It clearly looks like these motherboards are keeping high frequency on single cores for longer. In 3D benchmarks like 3DMark or VRMark, we can see that less demanding tests are giving us higher scores on the X470 chipset. Results of both motherboards, so the X470 Taichi and the X470 Gaming ITX/ac are almost the same.
On the other hand, more demanding tests which are using more CPU cores at higher load are showing similar results, regardless of used chipset or motherboard. What does it mean? Gamers will see high performance regardless of used chipset but can count on a bit higher maximum FPS in games that are using fewer CPU cores.
One more application is ASRock Polychrome RGB which let us manage LED lighting of our components and whatever we connect to the RGB headers onboard.
