ASRock FM2A85X Extreme6 FM2 Motherboard Review

2D Performance

So lets start with some single core benchmarks.

superpi1m

The Extreme6 is just slightly faster than the UP4 at stock clocks. At a minimal overclock outside of stock we see around a 423ms drop in time.

superpi32m

We see a similar trend in performance on the 32M front. Once again it narrowly edges past the UP4 at stock clocks. Most of this really comes down to memory performance. The longer benchmark really has a chance to show problems in memory performance. Leaving it very close race. performance wise.

Now onto the multicore performance.

wprime32m

For Wprime32 we see the Extreme6 fall back a little at roughtly 150ms slower in the smaller sized multithreading test.

wprime1024m

The Extreme6 regains it ground here beating the UP4 by around 1 second.

Memory Performance

maxxmem

On Maxxmem we see a bit of a wider leader over the up4. Theres a significiant difference in performance here. While the read speads are still fairly close to each other the copy and write speeds and even the latency show a significant difference in performance. A trend which we can see continuing fairly on track in the OC resuts.
