Inside the box, you’ll find the motherboard, an installation guide, a regulatory notice, 1 x Thermal probe, 2 x SATA cables, ASRock badge, 2 x M.2 screws, 2 x WiFi antennas, and a pair velcro straps for cable management.
The ASRock Phantom Gaming B860i Lightning WiFi Motherboard
The motherboard comes in a compact mini-ITX form factor, measuring just 17.0 x 17.0cm, and uses an impressive 10-Layer PCB. It features a 10+1+1 Power Phase Design with a whopping 110A Dr.MOS for VCore+GT+SA, giving you smooth power delivery and stability.
For cooling, the motherboard comes with a composite VRM heatsink combining a cooling fan, a heat-pipe and several large Aluminium heatsinks for efficient heat dissipation. On the reverse side of the motherboard, you’ll find 1 x Hyper M.2 PCIE Gen4x4 slot for SSD
A Closer Look
On the top of the motherboard, there are 1 x 8-pin PCIE power connectors (which needs to be connected), you’ll also find 3 x 4-pin PWM fan headers for cooling, and 1 x 3-pin ARGB header.
For expansion, you only get 1 x PCIe 5.0 x16 slot for next-gen graphic cards, but you get plenty of storage options. These include 3 x SATA ports, 1 x Blazing M.2 (PCIe Gen5x4) and 1 x Hyper M.2 (PCIe Gen4x4) slots on the back of the motherboard.
The motherboard comes with 2 x DDR5 DIMM slots, supporting both Intel XMP and AMD’s EXPO memory modules with memory speeds of up to DDR5-9333 +.
This tiny motherboard offers plenty of connectivity with total of 12 x USB ports, 1 x Thunderbolt™ 4 Type-C port, a 2.5G LAN, Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth.
On the back I/O panel, you’ll find 3 x USB 3.2 Gen1 ports, HDMI output, 2 x USB 3.2 Gen2 port, 1 x Thunderbolt 4 port, 1 x USB 2.0 port, 2.5 GbE, 2 x connectors for WiFi 6E, a BIOS flash back button and for audio, you get 1 x optical S/PDIF Out connector, Line-out and Mic-in.
