Performance: Part 1
All tests were performed using the i9-7900X processor and Ballistix Elite 4x16GB DDR4-3000 memory kit. For 3D tests has been used EVGA GTX1080Ti graphics card. Storage tests were performed on Patriot Hellfire 240GB NVMe SSD, Kingston HyperX Savage 240GB SATA SSD and Lexar DD512 Professional 512GB USB 3.0 drive.
Let’s start from memory tests.
AIDA64 is showing us as good results as expected. Performance using 64GB of DDR4-3000 memory is high. There is still room for overclocking what you will see on the next page of this review.
Results in 7-Zip compressing/decompressing tests are exactly where they should be. The same results in Cinebench R11.5 and R15 are high and were no issues with results consistancy. So far, so good.
PCMark 10 is showing us results based on popular applications so we can say that results here are close to real-life performance. Of course we have to know what do they mean. I won’t explain all tests as you can check it in benchmark description but can say that results are exactly where they should be based on tests on other motherboards. Overall score is quite high so for sure there are no issues with performance.
In the recent update of AIDA64 we’ve received FP32/64 Ray-Trace benchmark which is using AVX-512 CPU instructions. I thought I will add it to the review as AIDA64 is really popular software and part of the tests are free.
Results in both, FP32 and FP64 Ray-Trace tests are good but it’s hard to compare them to anything besides what we have in the AIDA64 database. I guess we will make our own list of results for comparison purposes but it will take some time.
AES encryption benchmark also passes without issues providing high result.
