The Box and Packaging
Upon opening the box, you’ll find the instructional manual, software setup guide, postcard, drivers disc, 2 packs of SATA data cables, 4 x M.2 screws for you SSDs.
The X570 Steel Legend Motherboard
The motherboard has a very unique black/grey/white camo design. I like the full cover heat shield for the Hyper M.2 SSD slots. It comes with an integrated fan for active cooling of the chipset.
It also features ASRock’s flexible I/O shield, and two large heatsinks (but no heatpipes) for your mosfets/VRMs.
A Closer Look
There are a load of extra features including 8 x SATA ports, 2 x PCIE 4.0 x16 slots, 3 x PCIE 4.0 x1 slots, 2 x Hyper M.2 slots for SSDs (covered my a full coverage heatsink with active fan), as well as pin-outs for Thunderbolt 3 and 4-pin headers for the Polychrome RGB.
For connectivity, you get DisplayPort, HDMI, PS/2 keyboard and mouse port, 6 x USB 3.1, 2 x USB 3.2 (both Type-A and Type-C Thunderbolt 3). There’s also the Intel gigabit ethernet LAN, and the usual array of connectors for 7.1 HD audio.
