Today, we’ll be taking a quick look at the ASRock Z390 Phantom Gaming 7 Motherboard. It’s one ASRock’s latest addition to the Phantom Gaming lineup and features a unique flexible integrated I/O shield and a 2.5GB LAN port. We’ve already reviewed its bigger brother, the Z390 Phantom Gaming 9, which is almost identical but includes additional onboard AC wifi.
The ASRock Z390 Phantom Gaming 7 comes with the usual great features from ASRock including SuperAlloy, PCIE steel slots, 2 x Ultra M.2 slots for SSDs (with 2 full coverage M.2 heatsink), USB 3.2 – both Type-A and Type-C (Thunderbolt 3), Creative Cinema 5 sound via Realtek’s 7.1 HD audio, Intel gigabit LAN, and of course the Polychrome RGB, and well as the 2.5 GB/s LAN by Realtek.
This motherboard also supports memory speeds of up to DDR4-4300+ (OC), Intel Optane Memory, Nvidia Quad SLI and AMD’s 3-Way CrossfireX for multi-GPU configuration.
ASRock created the Phantom Gaming (PG) brand to cater for the gamers, professionals, and PC enthusiasts with top of the line gaming products. Here’s something taken from their microsite …
Phantom Gaming is dedicated to developing the gaming products combine the necessity of performance, quality, stability, compatibility and durability with unique design. The design of exterior, feature, technology, and material is based on Phantom Gaming philosophy, which is “Fast, Mysterious, and Unbeatable.” Every Phantom Gaming product needs to be validated beyond the industry standard, to ensure the product is able to meet the ruthless challenge from the user.
Meanwhile, Phantom Gaming works closely with the partners to fine-tune the products, and to ensure every product can deliver outstanding gaming experience.
I would like to thank ASRock for providing the review sample. This is a snippet from what ASRock has to say about themselves on their website:
ASRock Inc. is established in 2002, specialized in the field of motherboards. ASRock strives to build up its own brand. With the 3C design concept, “Creativity, Consideration, Cost-effectiveness”, the company explores the limit of motherboards manufacturing while paying attention on the eco issue at the same time, developing products with the consideration of eco-friendly concept.
ASRock has been growing fast and become world third largest motherboard brand with headquarter in Taipei, Taiwan and branches in Europe and the USA. The young and vibrant company targets from mainstream to enthusiast MB segments for different kinds of users, owning reputation around the world market with its reliability and proficiency.
We’ve already tested the Z390 Phantom Gaming 9 a few months ago… so I’m expecting performance to be very similar with only the difference being, the design and looks of the motherboard. It does however, lack the integrated wifi, but we’re not too bothered about that. It will be interesting to see how it will compare against other 300 series motherboard such as the B365 and H370 motherboards.
Let’s not waste any more time and check out the specifications and features of the ASRock Z390 Phantom Gaming 7 Motherboard on our next page.
