Today, we’ll be taking a quick look at the ASRock Z790 LiveMixer Motherboard. This motherboard utilises Intel’s Z790 chipset and supports all the latest Intel 13th and 12th Gen core processors on the LGA1700 socket.
It features a powerful 14+1+1 Power Phase Design with Dr.MOs for Vcore + GT to give you that extra stability. It comes with 1 x PCIE 5.0 x16 slot for next-gen graphics card, 2 x PCIE 4.0 x16 slot, 1 x PCIE 3.0 x1 slot and a M.2 Key-E slot for WiFi. It also supports DDR5 ram with speeds of up to DDR5-7200+ OC.
The ASRock Z790 LiveMixer comes with some really unique looking heatsinks with a purple graffiti design, that covers the VRM/Mofets and the I/O hood, as well as the chipset and M.2 slot. It looks great and it’s perfect for any streamer or modder who really wants to show-off the motherboard in their PC.
For storage, you get 1 x Blazing M.2 (PCIe Gen5x4), 4 x Hyper M.2 (PCIe Gen4x4), as well as 4 additional SATA ports for your SSDs.
It also features a Displayport, HDMI port and a unique eDP port for ASRock’s internal LCD. This eDP port allows users to attached ASRock’s internal 13.3-inch IPS LED monitor for modders, power user and gamers to increase their productivity.
For USB ports you get loads, including 1 x USB 3.2 Gen2x2, 4 x USB 3.2 Gen2 (2 Type-C and 2 Type-A), there’s also 8 x USB 3.2 Gen1 (4 at the front and 4 in the rear) and finally a total of 10 x USB 2.0 ports.
For connectivity, you get the Dragon 2.5G LAN, but sadly no onboard WiFi. If you want WiFi you have to get the optional M.2 Key-E add-on.
And finally, you get all of ASRock’s usual features including the 7.1 HD Nahimic audio, 2oz copper PCB, Lightning gaming ports, and Polychrome Sync.
Intel Z790 Chipset

The Z790 chipset allows a total 20 usable PCIE 4.0 lanes, with upto a maximum memory capacity of 128GB. It’s also capable of up to 10 x USB 3.2 Gen1 5Gbps, 10 x USB 3.2 Gen2 10Gbps and up to 5 x USB 3.2 Gen2x2 20Gbps.
