Overclocking
Disclaimer: Overclocking is never guaranteed, so the results may vary depending on certain conditions and various hardware configurations. I am not recommending overclocking if you do not know what are you doing. High voltages may damage hardware and it will not be covered by warranty.
Using the ROG UEFI BIOS, we were able to overclock the Intel Core i5-7640X from the default speed of 4.0GHz to a whopping 5.1GHz. To achieve this, we increased the multiplier to x51 and upped the voltage to 1.25v.
Load Temperatures
This time load temperatures hit a high of 77 degrees Celsius. It not the best I’ve seen, but still acceptable and the system performed without any issues. I think it’s time to change my AIO cooler to a better amd larger one.
