Conclusion and Verdict
Well, we have made it to the conclusion! I know there is a lot to digest when it comes to a motherboard. Now when it comes to features, if you have no idea what they are or what they do, then you can probably go with out and save a few dollars. I always just make sure it has the features and specs that cover my basic needs. I want WiFi, Gen 4×4 M.2 (at least a couple of slots), decent VRM cooling, and a couple of x8 PCIe slots. If the motherboard has these specs, then I will be able to fully enjoy the hardware. One thing to note when going to the LGA 1700 is the RAM. The LGA can fully utilize the new DDR5. But let me tell you it is pricey. With this particular motherboard you can reuse your DDR4 and not have to worry about having to upgrade your RAM. So technically it isn’t on my must haves for a motherboard but in the LGA 1700’s case it definitely is. This motherboard is a great option if you are wanting to upgrade to the new LGA 1700 but no break the bank doing so. This motherboard offers plenty of performance and a decent spec sheet. The 11 series from Intel, kind of felt like they took a gap year, but these new Alder Lake processors are quickly gaining some ground back!
Oh, I have one more cool feature to mention that may easily get overlooked. This has to do with CPU cooling. Now for the most part you will be able to use your current cooler if it has the brackets for LGA1200 and that is most likely the case even if you are moving from a LGA 115X socket. The mother board has this pattern along with the 1700 pattern. Awesome hidden feature. Now you won’t have to wait for an adapter to make your existing cooler work. This how I set up mine and it worked perfectly!
