The Box and Packaging
The box and packaging comes with a triangular wifi antenna, a pair of SATA cables, some M.2 screws, an instruction manual, drivers disc, a sheet of TUF Gaming stickers, and a certificate of reliability.
The Asus TUF Gaming H670-Pro WiFi D4 Motherboard
The motherboard comes in a very nice matte-black finish, and you can see and well as feel the excellent overall build quality. There are no diagnostic LEDs or onboard power on/off or reset buttons, but it does come with several large heatsinks located around the processor socket and this helps cool the VRM/Mosfets.
One of the first thing you’ll notice is the extremly long M.2 heatspeader/heatshield that almost covers the entire width of the motherboard. Underneath you’ll find 2 x M.2 PCIe Gen4x4 slots for SSDs. An additional two more M.2 slots can be on the motherboard, one near the center of the board, while the other is located above the PCIE 5.0 x16 steel slot.
A Closer Look
The motherboard requires 1 x 8-pin and 1 x 4-pin PCIE power cables, and these connectors are found on the top left-hand of the board. The large heatsinks around the processor socket which helps cool the VRM/Mosfets really gives you that piece of mind. These heatsinks are among the largest I’ve seen on a motherboard.
There’s also 2 RGB design feature on the right-side of the board (top and bottom) and this is controlled via Asus’s AURA Sync software. For extra RGB confogurations, there’s 1 x 4-pin RGB header and 3 x 3-pin RGB headers.
The motherboard comes with a load of USB ports on the rear I/O panel including, 1 x USB 3.2 Gen 2×2 port (1 x USB Type-C), 2 x USB 3.2 Gen 2 ports (2 x Type-A), and 4 x USB 3.2 Gen 1 ports (4 x Type-A). And finally for connectivity, you get HDMI, DisplayPort, Intel’s 2.5Gb Ethernet with TUF LANGuard, integrated onboard Intel WiFi 6, as well as an array of audio connectors. However, there’s no BIOS flashback or clear CMOS buttons.
