The Biostar A68N-5000 has a standard mini-ITX size square of 17×17 cm. It is small but large enough to have all of the required components like the Realtek ALC662 5.1 HD Audio Codec, Realtek RTL8111G Gigabit LAN, USB 3.0 and front panel audio headers, two memory slots and two SATA3 ports.
On the back we can find two PS2 ports, one HDMI port, one D-Sub VGA port, an RJ45 LAN port, three mini jack audio ports and four USB from which two are in 2.0 and two are the 3.0 standard. There could be more options but this will be enough for most users.
One of the more important facts is that the cooling is passive so we do not have to worry about any moving parts or additional noise. It is quite an advantage as the Kabini APUs that are sold separately require cooling with a fan and so far we cannot find any third party cooling solutions for this platform.
