BIOS/UEFI
Just after first boot, we’ve updated BIOS to the latest version available on the website – B36CF830. It also supports upcoming Intel 9th gen processors.
I see that BIOSTAR improved BIOS/UEFI since I had a chance to test the last motherboard. All works better and is easier to find. Improved BIOS is also one of the key features of this motherboard pointed out by BIOSTAR.
As you can see from the screenshots below, there is everything you may need and everything is easy to find.
Except for well-known options, worth to mention is overclocking window. We can set the memory at DDR4-2666 manually. Why is it so important? Not all competitive motherboards based on the B360 chipset have this option and if we won’t buy memory kit with SPD of DDR4-2666 then we won’t be able to run memory at this speed, even if XMP profile is higher. We had that situation in SuperO/Supermicro B360 motherboard reviewed a couple of months ago.
BIOSTAR software and additional features
