Conclusion and Verdict
The B660GTA is another Biostar motherboard designed with gamers in mind. Considering how many problems were with early Z690 motherboards, I’m surprised how well everything works on the B660GTA. All tests passed without issues, and there were no problems with other devices’ compatibility.
The Racing series B660GTA gives us various DIY options, ARGB/RGB illumination adjustments via UEFI, or easy-to-use software. The software also offers hardware monitoring and overclocking too. We don’t have to worry about the top CPU support or overclocking with a robust power design.
Like other Biostar motherboards, the B660GTA doesn’t have WiFi or Bluetooth, but we can add any new M.2 controller, and there are already installed connectors for antennas. I wish to see a WiFi/Bluetooth controller, but some users won’t use it and wish to save $20. This is the price we have to pay for the cheaper M.2 WiFi/Bluetooth controllers in online stores like Amazon.
The B660GTA Racing is, of course, fully compatible with Windows 11, and there were no problems with the new OS during our tests.
Pros:
- Very good performance
- Easy to use BIOS/UEFI
- RGB/ARGB support and full synchronization
- Windows 11 compatible
- Strong power design (for a B660 motherboard)
- Various unique features
Cons:
- No WiFi/Bluetooth (available M.2 socket)
- No fast USB ports
Final words:
The BIOSTAR B660GTA motherboard provides very good performance and various gaming features, so it should be an interesting option for all those looking for a good base for daily use, and gaming at a reasonable price. The motherboard has a unique design, so for sure, there will be gamers who will choose it because of the looks. With a combo of high performance, gaming style, and good stability you can’t go wrong.
The Racing series B660GTA motherboard from BIOSTAR receives the Funky Kit’s Recommended Award!
