BIOSTAR B760A-Silver Gaming Motherboard Review

Conclusion

One more time, Biostar released a pretty good motherboard, which isn’t expensive but covers most gamers’ needs. The B760A-Silver has almost everything expected to see on a modern motherboard, except for the WiFi and Bluetooth, which nowadays seem like a must.

As with all Biostar motherboards, the Silver series offers us various DIY options, ARGB/RGB illumination adjustments via UEFI, or easy-to-use software. The software also provides hardware monitoring and overclocking too.

The motherboard supports all LGA1700 processors and most other new devices. Since a lower chipset is used, we won’t see additional M.2 PCIe 5.0 sockets or extra controllers. Like competitive B760 motherboards, the B760A-Silver doesn’t have 20/40Gbps USB ports or Thunderbolt, but most users can live without it.

We couldn’t find the B760A-Silver in any larger online store. It’s a new model, so we can only assume it will appear on store shelves in the upcoming weeks. Some Asian stores have it listed for around $200, but also unavailable. Considering all the current sources and competitive motherboards, we can count on a price below $200, so significantly lower than the price of Z790 motherboards.

Final words:

The Biostar B760A-Silver motherboard provides good performance at a very reasonable price. You won’t get anything real fancy, but you will get a solid base for our new gaming PC that supports all the latest Intel processors, SSD, and graphics cards. For most gamers, this motherboard will give a perfectly balanced, optimal performance and good gaming features, all at an affordable price.

The B760A-Silver motherboard from BIOSTAR receives the Funky Kit’s Recommended Award!
