Today we’ll be taking a quick look at the BIOSTAR Racing X570GTA Motherboard, which is aimed at the lower-end of the PC market, and for users who are on a tight budget. It utilizes the newest X570 chipset suitable for all of the latest 3rd Gen AMD Ryzen processors, and includes support for PCIE 4.0 as well as memory speeds of up to DDR4- 4400+ (OC).
This motherboard also comes with 7.1 CH HD Audio (Realtek ALC1220 Audio Codec), M.2 cooling, PS/2 keyboard & mouse, 6 x SATA ports, 4 x USB 3.1 Gen1, 2 x standard USB 2.0 Port, 1 x Gigabit LAN, 1 x HDMI Port, 1x VGA Port, and an array of audio connectors.
On closer inspection, you can see that BIOSTAR Racing X570GTA motherboard lacks many of the features found on the X570 GT8 which we reviewed a few months ago. So if you ask me … yes, it is a budget motherboard. But having said that … we should be getting some decent performance thanks to the X570 chipset and PCIE 4.0 support.
I would like to thank BIOSTAR for providing the review sample. Here’s a little blurb about BIOSTAR taken from their website …
In 1980,the IT industry was growing at a phenomenal rate. With wide experience in buying and selling electronic parts as well as researching on future demands for mainboards and add-on cards , the founder of BIOSTAR GROUP,established BIOSTAR MICROTECH INTERNATIONAL CORP in 1986.
In the early years, BIOSTAR concentrated on the manufacture of mainboards built for XT form factor. To maintain steady business growth, BIOSTAR managed to keep a large portion of its capital and manpower invested on the design and development of new products, which at the same time has enabled it to stay competitive in the rapid evolution of the computer industry.
BIOSTAR has enriched its competence in the design and manufacture of products such as add-on cards, multi-media and system products to develop the market and meet the demands of customers for more integrated solutions. In order to expand its capacity to meet customer demand globally, BIOSTAR was the first to establish a manufacturing facility in China in 1990. In 1998, its sales revenues exceeded US$130 million and it ranked 227th among the top 1000 enterprises in Taiwan. Furthermore,BIOSTAR obtained an ISO 9001 certification in 1999 and became a publicly listed company in the same year. BIOSTAR’s future has limitless possibilities.
To test this motherboard, we’ll be using our trusted old AMD Ryzen 7 3700X processor featuring 8 cores/16 threads, and a massive 32MB of L3 cache, along with a GeForce RTX 2080. I’ve been using this combination for all my testing for quite some time, and so far it hasn’t let me down yet.
OK, let’s not waste any more time, and start by taking a look at the specifications and features of this motherboard.
We couldn’t find the BIOSTAR Racing X570GTA Motherboard for sale on Amazon, so I would suggest asking your local retailer. I’m estimating the price to be around USD $135-150. In the meantime, you can check out our Amazon shop for the latest prices on X570 motherboards.
Update: You can check out the latest prices at Alibaba.
