Thanks to BIOSTAR, we’ll be taking a look at their Racing Z370GT6 Motherboard. This motherboard uses the latest Intel Z370 chipset and is suitable for all 8th Gen Core processors (Coffee Lake) from Intel. Looking at the specifications and features of the BIOSTAR Racing Z370GT6, it’s designed for the mainstream user who wants the latest technologies at affordable price.
The motherboard supports the DDR4 memory up to DDR4-3866 (OC), Optane memory, as well as Gigabit LAN and super LAN surge protection. Oddly, it supports 3-way AMD Crossfire Technology, but no mention of Nvidia SLI.
It also comes with interesting features including, VIVID LED DJ, dual BIOS, 1 x LN2 Switch, 2 x 5050 LED Headers, M.2 Cooling (heat spreader), diagnostic LEDs, GT Touch panel for onboard power-on, reset and ECO mode.
All-in-all, the BIOSTAR Racing Z370GT6 does looks pretty packed with features. But all these extras don’t mean squat … if the motherboard can not perform. So let’s see how well the BIOSTAR Racing Z370GT6 can compete against other Z370 motherboards we’ve already tested.
Please note that this motherboard and all Z370 chipset based motherboards, do not support and is currently not compatible with older 6th or 7th Gen Intel Core processors LGA1151 (Skylake/Kaby Lake).
