Overclocking
Disclaimer: Overclocking is never guaranteed, so the results may vary depending on certain conditions and various hardware configurations. I am not recommending overclocking if you do not know what are you doing. High voltages may damage hardware and it will not be covered by warranty.
After playing around with the Z370GT6 BIOS, we were able to overclock the Intel Core i7-8700K from the default speed of 3.7GHz to a nice 4.9GHz. It’s the best I’ve seen and I was hoping higher, but nevertheless a respectable overclock. To achieve this, we increased the multiplier to x49 and upped the voltage to 1.35v.
Load Temperatures
This time load temperatures hit a high of 96 degrees Celsius. It not the best I’ve seen, but still acceptable and the system performed without any issues. I think it’s time to change my AIO cooler to a better and larger one.
