Storage performance
M.2 performance had been tested on the Kingston Renegade 2TB NVMe SSD, and it achieved about the same results as Z790 motherboards. The storage bandwidth is lower than Kingston specifies due to Intel chipset limitations. If we wish a higher sequential bandwidth, then we need AMD chipset.
PCMark 10 Storage benchmark confirms the high performance of M.2 storage.
3DMark Storage benchmark is even more important, as it shows how the storage acts in popular games. Our result is one of the highest on the Kingston Renegade SSD we have seen.
USB performance
The USB performance is the only thing I wish to be improved. The specifications don’t say about the maximum USB speed, but in tests, we couldn’t reach more than 460MB/s on our USB SSD, which usually passes 1GB/s.
