The Box and Package
The contents are nicely packed. I particularly like the separately sealed packaging for all the accessories. You’ll also find the user’s manual, drivers disc and a nice EVGA badge.
The EVGA X299 Micro
The motherboard itself is in a micro ATX form factor. It’s compact and small, measuring just 244mm x 244mm. It’s suitable for anyone who wants to build a high-end but compact system for gaming or a HTPC.
A Closer Look
You’ll find 3 x PCIE x16 slots, two of which can be used for 2-way SLI configuration. For storage, there’s also a 1 x M.2 slot for NVMe SSD, 1 x U.2 and 6 x SATA ports, which more than plenty.
Overclockers will enjoy the onboard diagnostic LEDs, as well as the reset and power-on buttons.
The rear I/O panel includes the clear CMOS button, 6 x USB 3.0, Intel gigabit LAN, wifi card slot, USB 3.1 (A and C-type), and an array of audio connectors.
