Overclocking
Disclaimer: Overclocking is never guaranteed, so the results may vary depending on certain conditions and various hardware configurations. I am not recommending overclocking if you do not know what are you doing. High voltages may damage hardware and it will not be covered by warranty.
Using the EVGA GUI BIOS, we were able to overclock the Intel Core i5-7640X from the default speed of 4.0GHz to a whopping 5.1GHz. To achieve this, we increased the multiplier to x51 and upped the voltage to 1.25v. I was also extremely happy to be able to run our G.Skill Trident-Z DDR4-3200 at full speed of 3200Mhz
Load Temperatures
During our stress test, the load temperatures reached a high of 75 degrees Celsius, which is surprisingly low considering… lower than I expected. However, we still suggest using custom water cooling or a AIO unit.
