The Box and Packaging
Inside the box, you’ll find the motherboard itself, an installation guide, informational leaflet about the motherboard, 3 x support pads for M.2 SSDs, 2 x white SATA cables, Gigabyte G-Connector, and 1 x high-gain antenna for WiFi 7 with EZ-Plug.
The Gigabyte B860 AORUS ELITE WiFi7 ICE Motherboard
The motherboard comes in an all-white design and features a Digital Twin 14+1+2 phases VRM solution, and uses premium capacitors, a 6-layer and 2X Copper PCB.
For cooling it comes with Gigabyte’s Advanced full-metal thermal design, which includes the M.2 Thermal Guard for PCIE Gen5 SSD, the M.2 Thermal Guard Ext. featuring a large heat shield for PCIE Gen4 SSDs, and large VRM heatsinks with 5 W/mK thermal pads.
A Closer Look
On the top left-side of the motherboard, there are 2 x 8-pin PCIE power connectors (which needs to be connected), and 1 x 4-pin fan header hidden in the corner. There’s also 5 more 4-pin fan headers on the motherboard, 2 at top right-side, and 3 at the bottom of the board.
Expansion slots include 2 x PCIe 4.0 x16 slot and 1 x PCIe 5.0 x16 with PCIE EZ-Latch Plus for easy installation and removal of graphics cards.The motherboard comes with 4 x DDR5 DIMM slots, supporting XMP memory modules with memory speeds of up to DDR5-9200 OC.
For storage, you get a total of 4 SATA ports and 1 x PCIE Gen5 M.2 slots and 2 x PCIE Gen4 M.2 slots, featuring the M.2 EZ-Latch click and M.2 EZ-Latch Plus for easy DIY assembly. It also comes with diagnostic LEDs, and onboard buttons for power, reset and BIOS Q-Flash.
On the back I/O panel, you’ll find 1 x USB4® USB Type-C port (DisplayPort capable), 2 x USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A ports (red), 4 x USB 3.2 Gen 1 ports, 4 x USB 2.0/1.1 ports, 1 x DisplayPort, 1 x HDMI port, 2 x antenna connectors for WiFi7 (EZ-Plug), 1 x 2.5GB LAN port, 1 x Line-in, Mic-Out and 1 x optical S/PDIF Out connector.
