The Box and Packaging
The packaging is pretty much what you would expect from Gigabyte. There’s the usual instruction manual, driver CD, 2 SATA data cables, rear ATX backplate and the motherboard itself. Do read the instruction manual carefully, as it specifically instructs you to only use Intel Core LGA 1155 processors.
The Motherboard
For connectivity, the H55N-USB3 is extremely well connected. You get the usual connections for PS/2 keyboard or mouse, there’s also a SPDIF optical in/out, HDMI, DVI,15-pin D-sub output, eSATA, ethernet port, various audio connectors, as well as a total of 4 x USB2.0 ports and 2 x USB3.0 ports.
A Closer Look
The new Intel H67 chipset is clearly the heart of the motherboard, but you’ll also see other chips/controllers such as the onboard Realtek audio controller, onboard Realtek gigabit ethernet controller, and NEC’s USB3.0 controller.
