Super PI Mod 1.5
Super PI is a single threaded benchmark ideal for testing pure, single threaded x86 floating point performance and while most of the computing market has shifted towards multithreaded applications and more modern instruction sets, Super PI still remains quite indicative of CPU capability in specific applications such as computer gaming.
Our testbed managed to make the Super Pi 32m run in 8 minutes in 5 seconds. Not too shabby!
wPrime v1.55
Our aim was to make a perfectly threaded benchmark, such that it would consistantly use 100% of the CPU while in use. This is achieved by using CPUz to detect the CPU count and use exactly that many processing threads to avoid any performance losses due to multiple threads running on any single physical thread. Each thread is designed to do 1/n of the work, where n is the number of threads. For example, if you’re calculating 16 roots on 4 CPU’s, each CPU will calculate 4 roots. Some might argue that this style of threading is unrealistic in real-time performance, but in fact is quite indicative of performance in several real world tasks such as F@H which allows you to run several instances of the work at any one time.
Our testbed managed to complete the speed test in just over 6 seconds and the stability test in just over 186 seconds! Looking great so far!
CINEBENCH R15
CINEBENCH is a real-world cross platform test suite that evaluates your computer’s performance capabilities. CINEBENCH is based on MAXON’s award-winning animation software CINEMA 4D, which is used extensively by studios and production houses worldwide for 3D content creation. MAXON software has been used in blockbuster movies such as Iron Man 3, Oblivion, Life of Pi or Prometheus and many more.

Our testbed managed to score a 784 in CINEBENCH R15, which is not to far behind a similar system sporting an overclocked i7-4770K at 4.4GHz. These results are really promising!
AIDA64 Engineer v4.5
AIDA64 implements a set of 64-bit benchmarks to measure how fast the computer performs various data processing tasks and mathematical calculations. Memory and cache benchmarks are available to analyze system RAM bandwidth and latency. Processor benchmarks utilize MMX, SSE, XOP, FMA, AVX and AVX2 instructions, and scale up to 640 processor threads. For legacy processors all benchmarks are available in 32-bit version as well. AIDA64 Disk Benchmark determines the data transfer speed of hard disk drives, solid-state drives, optical drives, and flash memory based devices.

MaxxMEM2 Preview v1.99
Maxxmem is a single threaded benchmark and is useful in determining how memory will perform in software without multithreaded support. I will let the numbers do the talking.
ATTO Disk Benchmark v2.47
The ATTO Disk Benchmark performance measurement tool is compatible with Microsoft Windows. Measure your storage systems performance with various transfer sizes and test lengths for reads and writes. Several options are available to customize your performance measurement including queue depth, overlapped I/O and even a comparison mode with the option to run continuously. Use ATTO Disk Benchmark to test any manufacturers RAID controllers, storage controllers, host bus adapters (HBAs), hard drives and SSD drives and notice that ATTO products will consistently provide the highest level of performance to your storage.

These storage numbers are right in line with what we expect from our testbed SSD. I will let the numbers do the talking.
Wow! Now that we have put the Z97X-SLI through some extensive testing, let us crank it up a notch and find out what overclocking abilities that this motherboard has in store for us!
