Verdict and Conclusion
MSI’s MPG series of motherboards (MSI Performance GAMING), are designed for high-performance gaming with great aesthetics to match. And this is true with the MPG X870E Carbon WiFi motherboard, which is targeted at the enthusiast gamer, and users who’s on the upper-end of the mainstream market. With that said, it’s surprisingly feature-rich for a gaming motherboard. If I was to list the amount of features without telling you the make or model, you’ll probably think it’s an expensive high-end enthusiast motherboard.
The motherboard features a carbon black color scheme with Mystic light RGB, which makes it look sleek and lustrous. It also comes with extended heatsinks that offers a larger surface area, and includes a heat-pipe and enlarged chipset heatsink for efficient cooling.
It offers excellent stability and performance, thanks to the 18+2+1 Duet Rail Power System and 110A SPS , as well as the server-grade PCB with 8-layers and 2oz thickened Copper.

Expansion slots include 2 x PCIE 5.0 x16 slots with Steel Armor II, and 1 x PCIE 4.0 x16 slot. A nice added feature is their EZ PCIE Release design, which allows for easy securing or removal of graphics cards.
For storage, you get 4 SATA ports, 2 x PCIE Gen5 M.2 slots, as well as 2 x PCIE Gen4 M.2 slots for SSDs. These M.2 slots feature heat shields with EZ DIY design for simple installation of SSDs. This is something I really like.
If you need lots of connectivity, then this motherboard has got you covered. On the back I/O panel, you’ll find 9 x USB 3.2 Gen1 ports, HDMI output, 2 x USB4 ports (Type-C), 2 x USB 3.2 Gen1 ports (Type-c), Flash BIOS button, Clear CMOS, Smart Button, 5GB LAN, connectors for WiFi 7, Line-out, Mic-in and optical S/PDIF. But the star feature of this motherboard is that you get both 2.5GB and 5GB LAN ports (something you don’t often see).

Well, let’s start off with the diagnostic LEDs, onboard power-on and reset buttons, 7 x 4-pin fan headers for cooling, easy-to-access Clear CMOS, BIOS Flashback, and a Smart Button on the rear I/O panel.
