BIOS and SuperO Software
The C7B360-CB-MW is still new motherboard as it was released couple of days ago. I assume we will see new BIOS releases in not far future but even version 1.0 which we are testing is fully stable and functional. It’s not happening often on our market and I’m used to wait on new BIOS releases from other vendors only to make some features to work. Supermicro made it right before C7B360-CB-MW were shipped to stores.
Now let’s take a look at the BIOS/UEFI. First screenshot is from easy mode and all others will show more advanced settings.
CPU
Memory
Advanced
Thermal & Fan
There are couple of more complicated settings but most are quite easy to understand and most users who at least once before build a PC should handle it without issues. Also because of mentioned chipset limitations we can’t really overclock CPU or memory. Voltages are also not available as changes to them won’t help in anything.
SuperO Software
SuperO software is covering whatever isn’t available in BIOS so in this case it’s Luminous tab where you can manage RGB LEDs. Everything else is available in BIOS but of course it’s easier to use Windows software during work than enter BIOS each time we wish to change any setting.
The C7B360-CB-MW is easy to configure as most things we can keep at auto settings and they will work as supposed to. There were no issues with auto settings during tests. Also software is easy to manage so as I already mentioned, less advanced users shouldn’t have issues with this motherboard.
On the next two pages we will take a closer look at the performance.
