Conclusion and Verdict
SUPERO once again offers a product that is a bit unique, but well-designed and well-equipped motherboard. A mix of server and gaming features that gives us a fast and reliable motherboard, which can be used as a solid base for an exceptional PC build.
The motherboard offers us various connection options, dual LAN, WiFi 6, and Bluetooth 5.1. Everything is perfect and the connection is fast on every controller.
There were no problems with stability or performance during all our tests. The CPU overclocks well and even higher than on some other motherboards. However, I wish to see better compatibility with higher frequency memory kits. RAM is stable and for most users, DDR4-3600 is still more than enough but the competition offers much higher speeds.
Gamers may also want RGB and ARGB connectors which are not available on the CZ590-CGW. For me, it’s not an issue as I’m not a fan of flashy PC and I know that many users dislike RGB lighting too. It’s just a standard nowadays that gaming motherboards have these connectors onboard.
Again a kind reminder, we’ve received an early sample so we don’t have a retail price of the CZ590-CGW, and currently popular stores don’t have this motherboard available yet. It will be updated soon, and hopefully in a couple of days these motherboards will be available … you can count on it!
Pros:
- High performance
- Top-quality
- High CPU overclocking potential
- PCIe x16 4.0
- M.2 PCIe 4.0 socket
- Two LAN ports – 1Gbps+10Gbps
- WiFi 6+Bluetooth 5.1
Cons:
- Lack of RGB lighting (for those who can’t live without it)
- Limited compatibility with higher speed memory modules
Final words:
The SUPERO Core Gaming C9Z590-CGW from Supermicro is an interesting motherboard that combines server quality with gaming features. It’s fast and reliable, so it should satisfy a wide range of users, especially those who are planning on a gaming PC or a home workstation.
SuperO Pro Gaming C9Z590-CGW is highly recommended by Funky Kit!
