Conclusion
The Orbi RBK863S is the best WiFi mesh so far tested by us. There were no problems during installation or tests. Everything went fast, to the point that I started to wonder if I made everything right as it was too easy. NETGEAR improved not only installation and configuration but also performance. The Orbi keeps full stability and delivers optimal performance like not many competitive devices. It’s clearly better than the previous NETGEAR routers, and the signal is much stronger, so we can enjoy the optimal speed even when we live in an older building with thick walls.
Everything is designed in a perfect way, so even beginners will handle the installation and protect the connection without problems.
The only disadvantage can be the price. The Orbi RBK863S costs about $1099 in the Amazon store and almost the same directly from the NETGEAR store. If we want to set a reliable WiFi in a larger house, then it’s maybe expensive, but other devices that cover the same area won’t be much cheaper. For most users, it will still be too much to pay for a home WiFi system.
Final words:
If you’re after a WiFi mesh system that can cover a large area, and penetrate through thick walls, then the Orbi RBK863S will be perfect for you. Based on our tests, we can recommend the Orbi mesh system without hesitation, as it’s probably the best WiFi solution on the market. It’s fast, stable, and reliable, so there is not much more to ask for.
